Mark your calendars now to attend the Loveland Art Show. Sunday September 12, 2010. 11:00am to 5:00pm.
Artists and patrons alike are returning annually to picturesque Nisbet Park in Historic Downtown Loveland, a delightful, park setting nestled between the beautiful Little Miami River and the Loveland Bike Trail. Celebrating its 14th year, Loveland Art Show is the most rapidly growing arts event in the area. Loveland Art Show is now firmly established as a quality, juried fine art show featuring an exceptional range of talented artists from all over the tri-state area. Check out this wonderful opportunity to purchase art, in all price ranges, - photography, ceramics, woodwork, jewelry, baskets, sculpture, and original painting in all media. FREE admission and parking!
Over 75 artists will be competing for awards totaling $1500.
Don´t forget to check out our Youth Artist Booth (ages 5 - 21) chaired by Sandy Lynn, Patti Kavka and Patti Kellish.
Kids Corner - Once again the Girl Scouts, with the expert guidance of Kathy Randall provide a variety of fun hands-on special projects to entertain youngsters, exposing them to the arts. Sponsored by the Loveland Fire Fighters Association.

Call to Artists - Loveland Art Show, Youth Art Exhibit

The Loveland Arts Council would like to invite you to participate in the 14th Annual Loveland Art Show

When: Sunday September 12, 2010 11am-5pm

Where: Student Booth at Loveland Art Show in Nisbet Park in Loveland

Do you love to paint? If you have not participated in the Loveland Art Show´s Youth Artist Booth then you are missing out on a lot of fun!
Bring your work ready to hang (framed or mounted on cardboard), include a name tag for your piece and if you are interested in having your art for sale, please include a price. Students can show up to 4 pieces of art for a $5 fee. All work needs to be ready to hang, framed or mounted on cardboard.
Art work should be brought to the Student Booth at the Loveland Art Show at 9:00am on Sunday, September 12.
Winners will receive the following: age 5 - 12 1st place $15, 2nd place $10, Age 13 - 17 1st place $35, 2nd place $25, Age 18 - 21 1st place $50, 2nd place $35.

THE LOVELAND ARTS COUNCIL WELCOMES BACK JOHN KACHUBA

The Loveland Arts Council is pleased to announce that John Kachuba is back! John has accepted a Trustee position for the Loveland Arts Council. John was founder of the Arts & Cultural Council of Greater Loveland (Loveland Arts Council) and served as its president for several years before him and his wife Mary Newman (former Loveland City Council member) moved to Athens, OH in 2000. In Athens, he obtained a MA degree in Creative writing from Ohio University and also taught writing courses there.

In 2008, John and Mary moved back to Cincinnati and bought an old house in North Avondale, which was featured on TV´s Desperate Landscapes program. They are gradually renovating the 1920 house and their efforts were documented in an article John wrote for Cincinnati magazine.

John is a writer, freelance editor, and writing teacher. He has six books in publication and is currently working on two more. He is also teaching Creative Writing in Ohio University´s Distance Learning Program and Humor Writing through Gotham Writers Workshop based in New York City.
